Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the United States for the past forty years. Her most well-known role is for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). In the 1950s she began her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. She then acted in numerous Broadway productions before she became a star on national stage together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. Her first music album It's Time for Tina in the same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden in God's Big Acre, a drama from 1957. This movie was hugely popular and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. As a student of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her next role that she played in the role of Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on for in 1964. Louise was able to balance her acting career with ease with a variety of roles between Broadway television and Hollywood acting in somber roles against her perceived image of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she also has made an impact as a successful director in several well-known television series including Supernatural or The 100. Her family relocated to Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. She settled in Vancouver following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter.
